BOSTON — Massachusetts has joined a group of 20 other states in suing the Trump administration to restore federal funding for affordable housing and homeless programs.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Rhode Island, alleges that new restrictions set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a decades-old grant program violate federal laws and will worsen the country’s homelessness problem.
