A $10 donation to a charitable organization can help that nonprofit win $20,000, as The Detroit News Holiday Cheer for Charity competition enters the home stretch.
The final round of the competition is set to open Dec. 1, with donations to be accepted until noon Dec. 15. Voters may send money donations of at least $10 through FundRazr.com at www.detroitnews.com/cheerdonate25 to any of the five nonprofits that won the first round. Offline donations are not accepted.
The nonprofit with the highest donations raised wins The News' $20,000 grand prize. Each organization gets to keep any amount raised during the final round, win or lose.
