People are being warned to watch out for signs when they come home that could indicate a lethal risk. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has raised the alarm that approximately 20 people die each year in England and Wales from this fatal hazard, which poses a greater threat during the winter months.
In guidance from the UKHSA , homeowners have been told to stay alert for carbon monoxide poisoning. The danger increases during colder weather as people spend longer periods indoors with their heating switched on, Gloucestershire Live reports.
