EAST PEORIA, Ill. – East Peoria crews were called to Linden Street Sunday afternoon for a structure fire.
Fire Chief Bobby Zimmerman says when they arrived just before 3:30 p.m., firefighters found smoke coming from the home’s roof.
The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. No one was home at the time of the fire.
Damage is estimated at $75,000. Two adults and two children were displaced, but were being helped by the Red Cross with temporary housing.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
