A collapsed wall in a busy 'rat run' village is causing mayhem and misery for motorists and residents alike.
Temporary traffic lights installed by Kent County Council (KCC), creating a one-way system around the cordoned off damaged structure on the B2163 in Leeds, near Maidstone , have caused delays for more than a month.
The wall belongs to a home that fronts onto the road and may have been struck by a lorry on October 20, sending rubble into the road.
For villagers, it is another episode of disruption of many which Leeds has to endure but has been made even worse by the extra traffic caused by house building in the area.
The landlord of the George Inn, Jason Tharp, is praying the inevitable closure of the road to carry out permanent repairs will happen after the busy pre-Christma
