Louisville Metro Police arrested a teenage boy suspected of causing a motor vehicle crash that killed a young girl and injured a woman Nov. 30 in the Iroquois neighborhood, LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a statement.
The crash in the 4600 block of Taylor Boulevard, first reported to Fourth Division officers around 3 p.m., occurred when a passenger vehicle traveling northbound "at a high rate of speed" left the shoulder along the east side and struck a utility pole, Ellis said police determined in a preliminary investigation. After hitting the pole, the vehicle crossed all lanes of Taylor Boulevard before colliding head-on with a vehicle traveling southbound. The collision caused the southbound vehicle to strike a third vehicle parked off the roadway.
