Around 20 people have been left injured in an attack at a college this morning with emergency services having rushed to the scene.

The incident, reportedly using pepper spray, has taken place at a Humboldtstraße vocational college in the area of Perlengraben Cologne, Germany , at around 10am local time. Emergency services raced to the scene with police currently believing that the spray has been used by multiple people.

Initially it was reported that six people had sustained injuries but the number of victims has risen considerably in updates from German authorities. Victims reportedly complained of sudden respiratory and eye irritation with some taken to hospital.
