A bid to turn an empty storage building containing a cashpoint into a new home has been rejected.
Change of use plans to create a new property at a disused storage area that was described as unsightly have been turned down.
The proposals for the vacant single storey building at 136 London Road South in Kirkley, Lowestoft - which was previously used for storage and features an unused cash machine - earmarked a new two bedroom home with a "high quality design".
Agents GP Architectural Services, on behalf of the applicant Brandon Taylor, for Taylor Properties Trading Ltd, lodged plans with East Suffolk Council in October.
They were refused under delegated council powers last Friday.
