A Whitley Bay deli offering "immense" deli-style sandwiches is hoping to become a "staple of the North East food scene". ONDA opened at the former Meet Me on the Corner site on Ilfracombe Gardens in October, with owners saying the new venture will complement the café, which relocated to Whitley Bay Golf Club in March this year .

Kris and Laura Campbell have "reimagined their roots" with ONDA, with the venue focusing on "seaside vibes", in a "relaxed" atmosphere with limited indoor seating. Meals will be served takeaway style and aimed at the "fast-paced, quality conscious food lover".
