GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Police have identified two women killed in a crash that also injured several children near a West Valley freeway last week .
Just before 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 28, first responders from Glendale and Peoria were dispatched to the wreck off the Loop 101 and Bell Road .
Police say the crash involved a silver Hyundai with one driver, and a white GMC with two women and three children inside.
The two women died from their injuries, according to Glendale Police. The women were identified Monday as driver Jaslin Avila, 21, and passenger Cynthia Garcia Morales, 24. The three children suffered varying injuries and are all expected to survive.
Authorities did not specify if the woman driving the Hyundai was injured in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
