The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is offering free admission on Monday in celebration of Rosa Parks.
Monday marks 70 years since Parks refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, an act of civil disobedience that sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycotts and the broader Civil Rights Movement.
The museum is home to the bus where Parks made her bold declaration that she would not cede her seat to a white person. The museum bought the bus in 2001 in an online auction for $492,000.
Both entrance to the museum and parking are free Monday.
