The New York Gaming Facility Location Board on Monday recommended all three of New York City's finalists for casino licenses.
The bids for Metropolitan Park, Resorts World New York City in Queens; and Bally’s in the Bronx will now move to the New York State Gaming Commission, which will review each project’s ethical and financial qualifications before issuing the final licenses.
Metropolitan Park, backed by New York Mets owner Steve Cohen, would transform the parking lots around Citi Field into a casino, resort, food hall and park.
Resorts World plans to expand its existing facility at the Aqueduct Racetrack to include table games.
Bally’s is proposing a casino and hotel near its Ferry Point golf course.
