MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Three tree lightings are happening in the Twin Cities!
The University of Louisiana Monroe is hosting their annual tree lighting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
Due to the weather, the ceremony location has been moved to the Hangar. University officials say holiday festivities will take place on the second floor, and the ceremony will be livestreamed.
The City of West Monroe Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at the West Monroe City Hall immediately following the city council meeting.
The City of Monroe’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and movie was set to take place on Monday, Dec. 1, but has been postponed due to the weather.
City officials say a new date will be announced soon
