NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – The North Ridgeville Police Department has completed a redesign of its interview room to create a space of warmth and comfort that better supports sexual assault survivors during the reporting process.

The redesign project was completed in partnership with Project Beloved, a national organization focused on survivor advocacy, according to a press release. Project Beloved was founded by Tracy Matheson, whose 22-year-old daughter, Molly Jane, was raped and murdered in 2017.

Matheson established the organization in response to the tragedy and has since helped more than 100 law enforcement agencies nationwide create more supportive environments where survivors can give statements.
