CHALMETTE, La. — If you’ve noticed flags in St Bernard Parish lowered at half-staff, here is why.
St. Bernard Parish officials ordered all flags across the parish to be lowered to half-staff following the death of former Parish Councilman Michael C. Ginart Jr.
Ginart was elected to the District D Council seat in October 2007 and served one term during St. Bernard Parish’s post-Katrina recovery. Parish officials said he was recently honored as the BPW’s Man of the Year and was known for his work as a dedicated attorney and former councilman.
