COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The man charged in a shooting last month outside Columbia’s Planned Parenthood clinic is now out on bond.
Records show 56-year-old Mark Baumgartner posted a $50,000 cash bond following his arrest on Nov. 25. As of Monday, he is no longer being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Court records show conditions of Baumgartner’s bond also include being barred from where the shooting happened, as well as having no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.
Baumgartner, the executive director of anti-abortion group A Moment of Hope, is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He was identified by a witness who shared footage of the Nov. 14 incident with WIS.
