MOUNT PLEASANT — The future of a 38-acre property on Faison Road in the upper limits of town is up in the air once more.
After a half-hour in executive session on Nov. 12, Mount Pleasant Town Council voted unanimously to deny extending Cameron Property Company’s contract for the tract near Carolina Park and the Mount Pleasant Regional Airport. A little over a year before, they voted to offload the property to the Charlotte-based real estate and acquisition firm for $10 million.
Cameron Property Company, an affiliate of the Madison Capital Group, owns an adjacent 60-acre parcel . The firm purchased that land in 2023 for $7.9 million, according to Charleston County property records. There, the construction of Carolina Business Park, an office and warehouse space, is underway.
