Bond has been set for a man accused of killing his brother, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office deputy, on Thanksgiving Day.
According to court records, Darius Guerin was arrested and is accused of killing his brother, Deputy Shaquille Guerin, 35. Advertisement
Darius' bond was set at $700,000 on charges of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, and aggravated flight from an officer.
Darius has asked that his bond be reduced, according to court records.
The investigation into Shaquille's death began on Thanksgiving Day in Waggaman.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, they were called to the 30 block of Marigold Lane in reference to a shooting.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Shaquille lying in the street in front of the home suffering
