Gov. Maura Healey unveiled proposals for a new high school graduation framework, more than a year after voters decided to repeal the MCAS graduation requirement.

Students would be required to take, but not necessarily pass end-of-year standardized tests in certain core subjects.

The Massachusetts Teachers Association immediately criticized the inclusion of a standardized testing component.
