A woman who was just days from giving birth has tragically been found dead in woodland in Michigan, USA, and police are still searching for her missing baby.

Rebecca Park, 22, was last seen leaving her mother’s home on the night of 4 November, while 38 weeks pregnant. Witnesses say she got into the passenger side of a dark-coloured car outside the property, and has not been heard from since.

Her phone was later found abandoned near her mother’s home. Weeks after her disappearance, Rebecca’s body was discovered almost 50 miles away. Heartbreakingly, an autopsy revealed that her baby was not with her. Police are continuing their search for the infant.
