The Evo SL has become a tremendous hit for Adidas , widely praised by runners and becoming the brand’s top-selling model in the category. Now, with winter conditions setting in, a reinforced version of the running shoe is stepping up to the plate.

The Adidas Evo SL ATR will release this week, Footwear News can exclusively report. Short for “all-terrain,” this iteration of the shoe features a rip-stop mesh upper that’s both water-repellant and more durable. Reducing heel slip is prioritized with a new fit for the upper, while jagged laces provide better lockdown while sitting on a soft tongue. Better grip is then delivered by a Continental outsole with 1.5mm lugs.
