Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Kingston has admitted "it was upsetting" that she sustained an injury and couldn't dance the way she had planned during what became her last performance on the show.

The actress, partnered with professional dancer Johannes Radebe, had been a favourite among the series so far, but she became the eighth celebrity to leave the BBC One dance contest during the latest results show on Sunday (November 30) night.

It came after the pair performed a Cha Cha Cha to Anita Ward’s 1979 hit Ring My Bell and scored 23 points, after the judges during the latest live show on Saturday night (November 30) - and Alex herself - noted a number of mistakes.
