HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - UCLA is set to hire James Madison head football coach Bob Chesney as its next head coach, according to reports from ESPN , CBS Sports and The Athletic .

The Athletic’s Chris Vannini reported that Chesney became UCLA’s top target shortly after the school fired head coach DeShaun Foster.

During his weekly press conference Monday, Chesney was asked about his future at JMU, including whether he expected to have another head coaching job by the end of the week and whether any schools had contacted him about openings.

In two seasons at JMU, Chesney has led the Dukes to a 20-5 record. This season, JMU is 11-1 and won the Sun Belt East Division. The Dukes are scheduled to play in the Sun Belt Championship Game on Friday night at Bridgeforth Stadium against T
