AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augusta fire crews battled a house fire on Kissingbower Road on Monday morning.
Crews were on the scene from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., working to get the fire out.
Officials say no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, but a pet was rescued from inside.
The home is total loss, according to officials.
Videos posted to social media around 11 a.m. show smoke coming from the home near the intersection of Kissingbower Road and Milledgeville Road
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says it was called to assist the fire department with traffic control during the response.
