ALLEN PARK — Getting pressure and finishing plays on the quarterback was a persistent problem for the Detroit Lions throughout November.
From their second game through their eighth — a seven-game stretch — the Lions logged 28 sacks, averaging four per outing. They posted seven in their Week 3 win against the Baltimore Ravens, then added four and five in Weeks 7 and 9, respectively.
But that early surge fizzled as opponents adjusted and the schedule stiffened.
Over their last four games, the Lions have produced just four total sacks — 1.5 each from Brian Branch and Aidan Hutchinson, plus one from Roy Lopez. They failed to record a single sack in their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers.
“I don’t think we’ve affected the quarterback to play any style these last couple of week
