TOWN OF CAPE VINCENT, New York (WWNY) - State police have released the name of the man who died in a crash in the town of Cape Vincent over the weekend.

Troopers identified him as 54-year-old Scott Bourcy of Cape Vincent.

According to police, Bourcy was driving on Route 12E on Saturday night when he lost control on a curve.

His SUV hit an embankment at the intersection of County Route 8, overturned, and came to rest on the south shoulder of Route 12E.

Bourcy was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
