AUBURN — This season provided one of the busiest coaching carousels in recent memory, with nine midseason openings at the Power 4 level, four of which were were SEC programs.
Auburn football was right in the thick of it after firing Hugh Freeze in November, and athletics director John Cohen 's pick to succeed Freeze, Alex Golesh , certainly had his options. He reportedly had a deal in place with Arkansas last week, but instead wound up on the Plains.
