As Northern Michigan digs out from another snowy Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the forecast calls for more snow this week plus the arrival of the season's first cold wave.
Mike Boguth, a staff meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Gaylord, said lake-enhanced snow hit several areas last Saturday and Sunday. Charlevoix and Petoskey received about seven inches while Gaylord checked in with 7.4 inches. Cheboygan saw 8-10 inches as Sault Ste. Marie escaped with just 2.9 inches.
