Borussia Dortmund are keen to make Aaron Anselmino ’s loan move from Chelsea permanent, a club executive has revealed.
The 20-year-old Argentine, a highly-rated defender, moved from Boca Juniors to Chelsea in 2024, making his debut for the Blues at the Club World Cup before being shipped off to the Bundesliga on a season-long loan with no buy option.
He suffered a muscular injury early in his Dortmund career , but has starred in the Black and Yellow’s back line since returning.
Anselmino bagged his first Bundesliga goal this weekend, opening the scoring as Dortmund beat struggling Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. Speaking at full-time, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said he was planning to open talks with Chelsea over the player’s permanent transfer in short order.
