MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. — Two teenagers were injured in a crash in Montcalm County Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. near the area of West Sidney Road and South Monroe Road in Montcalm Township, according to the Montcalm County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said a 19-year-old was driving a Chevy Silverado when the vehicle lost control, crossed the center line and hit a group of trees.
The 19-year-old suffered minor injuries. A 17-year-old passenger had to be extricated from the truck and suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
Both teenagers were transported to hospitals. The sheriff's office did not have any updates on their conditions.
