December's full moon will be the third and final supermoon of 2025 when it peaks at 6:14 p.m. ET.

The Geminid meteor shower peak will start around 9 or 10 p.m. ET on Dec. 13. The best times to view them will be between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Believe it or not, the end of the year is nigh upon us. From an astronomical perspective, 2025 will go out with a bit of a bang as December’s full moon will double as a supermoon, and the annual Geminids meteor shower will peak just a week afterward.
