FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Just after noon on Sunday, Arkansas announced Ryan Silverfield as its new head football coach, and the new head Hog got right to work.
The announcement was met with, at best, mixed reactions from the Razorback fanbase, particularly online.
However, it soon became clear that step one of the Silverfield era was to address an area where many felt the previous coaches dropped the ball — recruiting Arkansas high schools.
Less than 24 hours after the official hiring announcement, Silverfield picked up his first win.
