FAYETTEVILLE -- Ryan Silverfield was announced as the University of Arkansas' new football coach Monday.
Three days later, he signed his first recruiting class.
On3.com industry ranking lists the 16-member Arkansas class at No. 54 nationally, while ESPN rates the class at No. 54 and 247 Sports has it at No. 56.
CBS Sports Network national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming said he believes Arkansas' class is hovering around 50 or so in the nation.
"It's a top-50 class or around there," Lemming said Wednesday. "For a coaching change that's really good."
The class was headlined by in-state talent that recently came on board as commitments.
