LEXINGTON, Ky. —

Kentucky football fans will get the chance to hear their new head coach talk on Wednesday.

The Wildcats moved quickly to hire Will Stein as the next head coach after firing Mark Stoops Monday morning.

Stein comes from Oregon, where he has been the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for three years.

He will officially be introduced as the Wildcats' front man on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The press conference is being held at the Nutter Field House behind Kroger Field in Lexington.

UK president Eli Capilouto and Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart will be there alongside Stein for the press conference.

During his three seasons at Oregon, the Ducks have won 11 or more games and made the College Football Playoff in 2024. Stein has also coached two Heisman finalists in B
