QUAY COUNTY, N.M. —

A couple who were reported missing from Texas on Thanksgiving have been found dead in New Mexico.

According to the Carson County Sheriff's Office in Texas, Linda and Charles "Gary" Lightfoot were found dead in Quay County, New Mexico.

The sheriff's office says their vehicle and their remains were found in a very rural area.

The couple were last seen in Panhandle, Texas on Nov. 27 and did not return to their home in Lubbock, Texas.
