CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio picked up a fresh round of snow Tuesday morning as a winter storm moved across the region, bringing several inches to many communities.
The system slowed the morning commute and led to widespread school closures , leaving behind 2 to 6 inches of accumulation across the area, according to National Weather Service reports .
The highest total was recorded in Lakewood, where 6 inches had fallen as of 9 a.m. Tuesday. Chardon followed close behind with a 5.4-inch report just after 8 a.m.
