15-year-old boy charged in connection to double shooting in Jacobs neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville Metro Police Department has arrested a teenager in connection to a double shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood.

Police responded to the 3700 block of Kahlert Avenue around 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 25 about the shooting.

LMPD said a 17-year-old girl was found with a graze wound on Craig Avenue, while the second victim was found with a gunshot wound to the leg on Wheeler Avenue. Police said the shooting happened in an alley.

Both victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.

On Tuesday, police arrested a 15-year-old boy in the shooting. He is charged with first-degree assault (complicity), second-degree assault (complicity), and first-degree wanton endangerment — discharge of a firearm.
