Emma Slater and Alan Bersten aren't dancing around their show's reputation.

While there's been speculation of "toxic energy" behind the scenes of Dancing With the Stars , the two pros—who confirmed their romance in April—shared that it's just the opposite.

“I don't want to dwell on it too much, but there was like an article that came out that was like, 'Oh, toxic energy in Dancing With the Stars,' " Emma said on the Dec. 2 episode of the House of Maher podcast, "and that could not be further from the truth."

Alan jumped in to echo the sentiment, saying, "A lot of these articles are so wrong," referencing one that was about him and Emma alledgedy fighting in the hallway.

"My mom's like, 'Are you guys fighting?'" Alan said with a laugh. "I was like, 'What?'"
