TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Boys and Girls Club of Tucson is using Giving Tuesday as the final push for its first year-long fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $1 million.

The organization said the proceeds will go directly back into programs serving nearly 500 kids across seven clubhouses in southern Arizona.

“The kids we serve they’re all local to Tucson. They’re all part of the next generation that’s growing up. We want to make sure that they have plenty of activities,” said Kameron Norwood, Boys & Girls Club Tucson Annual Campaign Chair.

Through the Boys and Girls Club, children receive healthy food, homework help, and opportunities to explore new activities, including robotics and culinary arts. The organization is working to ease the burden of childcare costs for
