MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Officials have referred charges against a suspect in a northside homicide from last month, according to the Madison Police Department.
MPD stated detectives referred charges against Jonathan L. Britton for first-degree reckless homicide and felon in possession of a firearm.
On November 17, police were alerted to a person shot around 2:40 p.m. on the 2400 block of Brentwood Parkway, near Warner Park.
MPD said officers arrived after 2:45 p.m. and found a man who had been shot lying in the middle of the road.
Officials took him to a hospital, where he died. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as 25-year-old J-Marr Willis. His cause and manner of death is being determined, the agency stated.
