YAKIMA, Wash. – A former Ellensburg doctor was arrested and indicted for 26 federal violations regarding prescriptions and driver’s license examinations, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The indictment of 42-year-old Anna Elperin was described in a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington on December 1, 2025.

Elperin’s charges occurred at her former Ellensburg clinic, Awake Health, PLLC, between July 2018 and September 2022.

She was indicted for falsifying medical examinations for commercial driver’s license applications. When tasked with performing physical examinations and certifying candidates for the license, she did her job improperly, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
