EVERETT — A main thoroughfares in Marysville will close on Saturday to make room for a holiday parade.

State Avenue will be closed between 4th Street and Grove Street for the city’s Electric Lights Parade beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday. The road will reopen by 10 p.m. Saturday, the city wrote in a release Monday. The parade is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Other streets set to close beginning at noon Saturday include 5th and 6th Streets between State Avenue and Delta Avenue, Delta Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets, Beginning at 1 p.m., 10th Street between State and Columbia Streets will close. During the parade, Delta Avenue between 5th and 9th Streets will close.
