The Boston Red Sox have plenty of areas to improve this offseason — but they’re hoping one spot will take care of itself.

Carlos Narváez has been tremendous as the club’s primary catcher, and will presumably hold onto that role moving forward. Connor Wong seems to be headed in the opposite direction, however, having seen his numbers slip across the board in 2025 — though he expects things to change in 2026.

Wong talked about the reasons — the wrist injury that landed him on the injured list from April 8 to May 2 — in a discussion with MassLive’s Christopher Smith on Tuesday.
