NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville organization helping veterans heal from PTSD received a major boost for Giving Tuesday when a local company donated and installed 53 new windows after vandals destroyed the originals.
CreatiVets, which operates music and arts programs for disabled veterans, bought an old church on Robertson Ave. a couple of months ago to transform into a treatment center.
Executive Director Richard Casper, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient, said just days after getting the keys, someone smashed more than 50 windows and people began using the holes to break into the building.
