The Burbank K-9 killed in the line of duty last month continues to give back to the police department he served for two years as the pup’s look-alike merchandise is selling out fast.
After Spike was shot and killed during a standoff with a gunman in Burbank on Nov. 22, the devastating loss for Burbank police has led to an inspiring show of gratitude from the community.

For more than a week, people have come to the Burbank Police Department to drop off flowers and treats to remember Spike.
Supporters are also turning to the department’s website to purchase black plush toys that resemble Spike and T-shirts. As of Tuesday afternoon, all items related to Spike the K-9 were sold out.
