The Buffalo Bills entered Acrisure Stadium without their starting offensive tackles, Josh Allen’s No. 1 pass-catcher, a high-paid free agent addition at wide receiver and linebacker.
It didn’t matter.
Buffalo’s offense steamrolled the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 26-7 victory. James Cook and company ran wild behind reserve tackles Ryan Van Demark and Alec Anderson and the passing attack wasn’t really needed in the win.
Defensively, Terrel Bernard’s absence was not noticeable. Shaq Thompson was outstanding and Dorian Williams stepped up as well at the linebacker position. Thompson, Williams and the rest of the Bills defense shut down the Steelers’ rushing attack and limited Aaron Rodgers as a passer.
