SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Drivers across northwest Louisiana got the chance to ask about road work, potholes, and other projects being done by the state’s Department of Transportation during a public forum Tuesday, Dec. 2.

DOTD held the public meeting to hear what people want their tax dollars invested in. Many people brought up concerns about the I-49 Inner City Connector, better communication about ongoing projects, and the condition of LA 3132.

I-49 connector draws opposition

Bill Robertson has lived in Shreveport for 40 years, and he says the I-49 Inner City Connector would be a burden to the city.

“The Inner City Connector will be very damaging for the inner city of Shreveport and it’s not needed because we already have a highway loop around the city,” Robertson said.
