A Devon family has been devastated after a pregnant mum tragically passed away in her sleep at just 22 years old. Charlie Comer was in good health and eagerly anticipating the birth of her second child. ‌

At 20 weeks pregnant, apart from some morning sickness, she was progressing well, according to her mother, 42 year old Carrie Burns. While Charlie "had her issues" previously, she had turned her life around and significantly improved her mental wellbeing. ‌

Carrie explained that Charlie was "flourishing" and was thrilled about meeting her new baby - whom she had chosen to call Arlo, reports Devon Live . ‌

Tragically, catastrophe struck on Monday, October 13, when Carrie went to sleep and failed to wake up the following morning.
