Pinewood Springs resident Doug Mann’s faucet sputtered to life late Tuesday afternoon, two days after he and other residents in the small mountain community north of Lyons lost water.
A temporary water line, in place amid ongoing construction of a new line, had frozen, affecting 19 homes in the area. Mann, who lives on Button Rock Road, had been without running water since Sunday.
Mann bought bottled water and a membership at a recreation center in Estes Park so he could take showers. Neighbors have been offering to help in a community Facebook group, Mann said.
“Everyone is just trying their best to get by hoping this will resolve,” he said Tuesday afternoon before his water came back on.
