LAKEWOOD, Ohio — After three years in operation, Studio West 117 Fieldhouse — an LGBTQ-focused community space in Lakewood — has announced it will close for good on Dec. 28.
In a statement posted to Instagram Monday, Studio West 117 acknowledged the "difficult" news but did not offer further details regarding the decision. However, 3News media partner Signal Cleveland reports the site's developers currently owe more than $160,000 in delinquent property taxes — nearly $94,000 for the fieldhouse and another $74,000 related to what had been a planned redevelopment of the nearby Phantasy Theater complex.
